  Watch the Border Collie working in the field and you will quickly become drawn into the moment. I have witnessed this over and over and even still find myself becoming entranced.

  Driven on instinct, a Border Collie is a high energy dog, seemingly always alert waiting for instruction or even a simple "hi pup". In the field it is this drive and a great work ethic that propels them through the task at hand whether it be bringing in our flock or sorting for market. Instinct makes this work their hearts desire.


  Borders View Farm welcomes all herding breeds and will provide Herding Instinct Testing on an individual or group level which may be followed up by training sessions for you and your dog. We also offer stock rental for the more experienced handler / trainer not requiring lessons but wishing to work dogs on different stock or in a new environment.


  Border Collies are fast becoming the method of choice to rid golf courses as well as public areas of nuisance Canada Geese. Borders View Farm has trained and placed many dogs into this type of working environment yet we also keep our own trained goose dogs in order to offer this service to clientele who do not wish to own or lease a working dog.
